Antestia bug
from £44.00
The Antestia bug, a being from the genus Antestiopsis, is known for causing the potato taste defect (PTD) in coffee. This defect is commonly found in coffee from the Great Lakes region of Central Africa, particularly in Rwanda, Burundi, and Uganda. Beans affected by PTD emit a smell similar to freshly peeled potatoes when roasted, significantly compromising their quality.
