The Nest
The Nest
A non-profit creative agency and incubator supporting regenerative farmers and producers to build viable businesses, brands, and market presence through storytelling, strategy, and content.
I contributed as a visual storyteller across multiple projects.
Kumar’s Dosa Bar - South Indian Street Food & Farm
Once an intensively grazed pasture, this 4.5-acre plot is being transformed into a nature-friendly, stock-free smallholding, producing fruit and vegetables for a local food stall. I documented the early stages of their journey in a short film.
Bronagh O'Kane - Drumard Farm
Bronagh is a regenerative farmer based near Cookstown in Co Tyrone, Northern Ireland, who produces nutrient-rich vermicast (worm compost) to restore soil biology, health, and structure on her family farm. She focuses on regenerative agriculture, using worm compost to improve soil, and is recognized for her work in soil health.
Cider Apple Trees - Specialised Apple Tree Nursery
Based in Somerset, with over 20 years of experience in grafting and budding, they run a specialist apple tree nursery, growing and supplying heritage full-standard apple trees for cider, alongside traditional varieties for eating, cooking, and juicing.
Lauriston Agroecology Farm
Located in North West Edinburgh between Lauriston Castle and the Cramond seashore, Lauriston Farm is a hundred acre farm run by a workers cooperative that is focused on food growing, biodiversity, and community. The farm is a local response to the growing challenges of climate change, biodiversity collapse and lack of access for all to healthy, fresh, affordable food. I documented their project in photographs as well as a short film, capturing the intention, process, and early momentum behind its development.
Offgrid Organics
They operate a Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) scheme, working much like a veg box subscription. By committing to a full season, members directly support their local growers while ensuring a steady supply of fresh produce for their family, sharing in the rewards of small-scale ecological farming in Somerset.
Meadowsweet Farming Co
Hannah is a farmer based near Frome in Somerset. Like many, she strives to provide better food for her family. In 2020, she founded Meadowsweet to offer something meaningful: beef raised in a way that respects animals, regenerates the land, and provides nutrient-dense food straight from the farm. Her small herd of rare and native breed cattle graze on meadows just eight miles from Frome, playing an important role in restoring healthy soil, plant life, and wildlife. They are 100% pasture-fed, slow-grown, and known as individuals. By avoiding synthetic chemicals, protecting the soil, and encouraging biodiversity, she supports better outcomes for nature, the animals, and human health.
